National Young Farmer Educational Association - The Association for Educating Agricultural Leaders

The National Young Farmer Educational Association (known for Educating the Next Generation of Agricultural Leaders) is hosting Agriculture’s Promise, our premiere advocacy training experience, in Washington DC. Beginning on Sunday, March 6 and concluding on Tuesday, March 8, the program will feature great motivational speakers, unique policy insight and marvelous networking opportunities.

NYFEA would like to invite you join us or consider sending a couple of students to the Ag Promise program. We have had visitors from Texas A and M, Colorado State, Auburn, Georgia, Mississippi State, Penn State, Clemson, Florida and other universities over the years. We would love to start an annual tradition of you or your organization participating.

The cost per student is $475 for an all-inclusive attendee. This covers hotel room (sharing the room with another college student) and registration. In addition, if you prefer to have transportation included, the cost is $890. Non- student registration is $290 and the rooms are $255 per night (tax and resort fee).

The Ag Promise program is a Washington experience featuring a fast-paced but thorough introduction to policy making and agricultural issues at the federal level. We train and inform our attendees. We have never had a person leave the conference frustrated or disappointed in the experience.

God Bless,
Gordon Stone
NYFEA, Executive Vice President

An enlightened person, that is interested in engaging in issue based discussion, wants to hear from the top agricultural officials in Washington and seeks to understand the way political affairs works, will have a great experience at Ag Promise. For instance, Congressional leadership, association executives and professionals in policy are already lining up for the 2022 event. It is thrilling to meet with your peers and have one-on-one discussions about the key issues facing the industry of agriculture. However, it is rare to have the chance to actually share your feedback on issues with the very people that make policy work. By attending this program, a person can see the magnificent Washington monuments and experience policy making on a first hand basis. The most effective leaders will be the individuals that have a depth of wisdom. This meeting will broaden awareness and help sharpen leadership and communication skills. The registration options include lodging, four meals, meeting handouts, issue materials, transportation back and forth to the capital on two days, a driving tour of the monuments, and a reception with key Congressional leaders. IT IS A GREAT DEAL!
Agriculture’s Promise (Washington Initiative):  NYFEA has discovered a bounty of opportunity. From visits to the historically significant and extremely motivational monuments ( a night-time tour of the DC area) to the discussions with key policy makers at both USDA and in Congress, the attendees have found this to be an extraordinary experience. All organizations with an emphasis group (council, committee, advisory board…) focusing on training and encouraging the next generation are invited to attend. All that is required is a willingness to join in the group policy discussion. It is hosted in Washington DC.  Each spring!

Sharing Your Ideas:  NYFEA emphasizes learning and participating.  Therefore, it is very important that the association continue to develop the 5 Key Points that the attendees actually share with policy makers in the Washington arena.
