Who is NYFEA?

NYFEA, the National Young Farmer Educational Association, is the official adult student organization for agricultural education as recognized by the United States Department of Education. As an association that educates agricultural leaders, NYFEA unites members from the individual farmer to large corporations. With the help of sponsors, NYFEA provides programs, institutes and community service. By serving, NYFEA’s mission is fulfilled - that being to educate agricultural leaders through leadership training, agricultural education and community service opportunities. The association seeks to provide support for the next generation by helping them understand the opportunities found in agriculture.

An NYFEA Past President made the following statement about the organization:

"We are agricultural people seeking personal and professional development. Therefore, our organization is known as 'The association for educating AGRICULTURAL LEADERS.' We help develop leaders who will help their industry and their community. Further, we will never lose focus on the fact that it is EVERY agricultural person's responsibility to ENCOURAGE the YOUNG, BEGINNING and SMALL FARMERS! A part of all we do is designed to answer the question 'Where will the next generation of farmers be found?'
